My background:
I have over 16 years of experience in the field of Education, including classroom teaching, course and curriculum development, adult education, and working as a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary in the Werklund School of Education. I have supported businesses with the creation and implementation of learning experiences in a variety of areas including accounting, publishing, social media, and employee training. I believe that creating and implementing effective and engaging learning experiences is a way to showcase your expertise and to facilitate building connections and building relationships.
How we can work together:
(1) I audit existing courses and create actions plans with strategic areas of improvement and growth.
(2) I provide course consultation sessions where I connect with businesses to brainstorm ideas and approaches or troubleshoot challenges.
(3) I provide course coaching using a personalized, strategic course development roadmap to move your course idea to action, to overcome roadblocks, or to pivot your existing offer or service into a course.
My story:
Inspired by own amazing teachers, I decided that I wanted to become a teacher when I was 7 years old. After becoming a mom of 3 children and completing my Master’s in Education, I decided to “retire” from classroom teaching and pursue opportunities in Education that better aligned with the motherhood and work juggle that I wanted for my family. Looking back, Tiana Fech Consulting “happened” very organically. My education, mentorship, and course development background led to opportunities to speak to entrepreneurial groups, to present at a virtual conference, and to be interviewed on podcasts. Business owners approached me with questions about the learning opportunities that they had created, that they were thinking about, or that they were in the process of creating. I was already helping people with their course development journey so I decided to formalize it with a name, logo, and website! I love the work that I am doing and the chance to connect with amazing entrepreneurs, businesses, and organizations. As with all of my teaching and learning experiences, I also love that I continue to learn, to grow, and to be inspired.
